ENVIRONMENTAL - CHIEF WWTP OPERATOR - (Equipment Technician V)

What You Will Be Doing:

Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP to ensure compliance with Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) operating permit

Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities to facilitate safe completion of daily work assignments

Provide guidance, assistance and/or supervision to lower-level associates
Qualifications:
-
Associate degree in a wastewater related field PLUS four (4) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP

Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR
-
High school diploma (or equivalent) PLUS six (6) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP

Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR
-
Five (5) years of experience in an Equipment Technician III-IV position within the City of Lebanon or municipal government entity

SUBSTITUTION: Additional education and/or certification(s) may be substituted on a year-for year basis for the required experience
Licensing/Certification:
-
Valid Driver's License
-
"Class B" Commercial Driver's License will be required within six (6) months of employment

Wastewater Treatment "B" Certification

Has demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills

Has experience working within the wastewater field/profession
- Has prior experience performing wastewater laboratory testing
