Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures to ensure a spotless environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and recreational spaces.
- Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to keep all surfaces immaculate.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, towels, and amenities to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
- Follow established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to promote a safe working environment.
- Report maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to the appropriate departments for prompt resolution.
- Adhere to hotel policies and standards related to hygiene, sanitation, and customer service excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work or janitorial services; hotel experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Strong understanding of hospitality standards and customer service principles.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects, and climbing ladders.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals; previous janitorial or custodial experience is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Prior housekeeping management experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for those eager to grow into leadership roles.
