JOB TITLE: Bookkeeper - Part-time
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A hardworking, reliable, efficient, and motivated individual with multifamily property accounting experience. As part of the accounting team, will process daily and monthly transactions, maintain cash balances, review and reconcile bank accounts, and financial statements and packages for approximately ten (10) properties. Assisting ownership, leadership, regionals and on-site team with resident ledger corrections, questions on financial statements, vendor issues, and payable issues.

SUPERVISES: N/A
QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION: Four-year degree, preferably in Accounting

> Ability to read and write the English language in order to communicate with customers and to process company paperwork
> Ability to work standard hours with capability to work additional hours daily prior to office opening/closing during certain times of the year or when needed to complete specific tasks.

> Dexterity to complete paperwork and operate office equipment
> Typing proficiency required to complete job-related paperwork and correspondence
> Ability to pass a criminal background check, credit check and drug screen
> Own transportation and valid Driver’s License

E. EXPERIENCE: Prior multifamily accounting experience, preferably 3-5 years, with a focus on real estate, property management or related field is preferred. Prior use and experience working in Yardi. Strong comprehension of GAAP coupled with the ability to develop and implement a sound accounting team and operational plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Posting and making deposits – sometimes physically going to the bank
2. Banking – Funds transfers, ACH, wires, bank reconciliations
3. Accounts Payable – to include vendor research, payable concerns, vendor payments and expense reimbursements
4. Analyze and research financial statements
5. Workpapers – to include insurance expense, amortization and tax accruals
6. Financial packets for approx. ten (10) properties
7. Lender replacement reserve draws
8. Assist Regional Managers and on-site team with resident ledger corrections
9. Professional correspondence with owners and answering their questions on financial statements
10. Basic accounting functions – accrual accounting
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
