We are seeking a passionate and energetic Horse Trainer to join our dynamic equine team. In this role, you will be responsible for training, handling, and caring for horses to ensure they perform at their best while maintaining their health and well-being. Duties
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to each horse’s age, temperament, and skill level.
- Handle horses safely during daily routines, including grooming, feeding, and exercising.
- Use humane training techniques to improve behavior and performance in various disciplines such as riding, driving, or groundwork.
- Monitor horses’ health and behavior closely, identifying signs of discomfort or illness that may require veterinary attention.
- Assist with veterinary procedures by restraining animals safely and providing support during medical treatments.
- Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral observations, and health status.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff, pet care professionals, and clients to ensure comprehensive animal care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in horse handling, training, or related equine activities.
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage horses of different temperaments confidently.
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures and experience assisting with medical treatments or restraint techniques.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for grooming or stable maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for working with team members and clients effectively.
- Familiarity with pet care practices such as grooming, feeding, and basic health monitoring.
