Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Central Supply and Medical Records Clerk to manage the facility's medical supplies and maintain accurate medical records. This dual-role position supports both clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with healthcare standards.
Responsibilities:
Central Supply Duties:
- Order, receive, and inventory medical and office supplies.
- Distribute supplies to appropriate departments and ensure timely restocking.
- Maintain accurate records of supply usage and inventory levels.
- Work with vendors to manage orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure supply storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Medical Records Duties:
- Maintain, organize, and file resident medical records in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with the preparation, scanning, and archiving of medical documents.
- Ensure records are up-to-date, accurate, and readily accessible for authorized personnel.
- Respond to requests for medical records in a timely and confidential manner.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in medical records management and/or supply inventory preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with computers, filing systems, and basic inventory software.
- Ability to lift and move supply boxes (up to 40 lbs).
