We are looking for individuals with exceptional leadership skills and the drive to succeed. Creating a safe and engaging environment for students outside regular school hours. Responsibilities typically include planning and implementing educational and recreational activities, supervising students, managing program staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Our main goal is to foster positive social interactions among participants. Our programs are year round. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing strong leadership skills, embedding confidence, teaching skills and strategies, monitoring play, and responding to situations. Must be open to teaching problem-solving skills, be passionate about working with youth, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead:
- Uphold/Model Pure Joy Mission
- Reference curriculum to develop & implement drills
- Maintain the status of group progression
- Manage time appropriately
- Guide/delegate tasks for assistant coaches
- Use discernment to manage situations that may arise during practice
- Interface with school staff, city personnel, & parents
- Responsible for all equipment (i.e., sport equipment, cones, markers, etc.)
Assistant:
- Uphold/model Pure Joy Mission
- Reinforce the application of skills and follow through with drills
- Actively encourage group
- Seeking out opportunities to support the head coach
- Help to keep order/structure
- Assist the team leader in leading the team.
Both
- Helping students improve their skills.
- Mentor students on leadership.
- Work with students to overcome personal challenges that may negatively impact their performance.
Must be available between these times:
June - July
12-3 pm
1-4 pm
August - May
2-6 pm
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
