Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Stocker to join our team and help ensure our retail environment remains organized, well-stocked, and inviting for customers. As a Stocker, you will play a vital role in maintaining inventory accuracy, replenishing shelves, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Stock shelves efficiently by receiving shipments, unpacking products, and placing items in designated areas while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual handling tools to move inventory safely and accurately.
- Maintain accurate inventory control through regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory management systems.
- Assist customers with product location inquiries, provide friendly service, and support retail sales efforts.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and sales floor by performing routine cleaning, merchandising, and packaging tasks.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and documenting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations while practicing safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with RF scanners, stock management software, and basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for communicating with diverse team members or customers.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and stock replenishment.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers confidently.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of retail product knowledge, merchandising standards, shipping & receiving procedures, and grocery store operations is advantageous.
