Job Summary
SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn by Marriott in Carmel, Indiana, are seeking friendly, dependable, and guest-focused Front Desk Agents to join our hotel team.
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for our guests. You will help create a welcoming atmosphere while providing professional and attentive service throughout each guest’s stay. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable using computers, and able to remain calm and helpful in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with friendly and professional service
- Complete guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments, and payment processing
- Answer telephone calls and assist with questions and reservations
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local restaurants, attractions, and directions
- Handle room changes, special requests, and guest concerns
- Recognize Marriott Bonvoy members and provide applicable benefits
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and hotel leadership
- Maintain accurate guest accounts, reports, and front desk records
- Keep the front desk and lobby areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Follow all hotel procedures for safety, security, guest privacy, and cash handling
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by hotel management
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, front desk, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, positive, and guest-focused attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Comfortable using computers and learning hotel systems
- Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy periods
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
