Teaching Assistant
Department: CTE (Career and Technical Education)
Subjects/Pathways: EV Automotive Technology; Construction Technologies
Description:
The CTE Teaching Assistant supports classroom and laboratory instruction under the direction of a certified teacher. Responsibilities include assisting students with academic and hands-on learning activities, preparing instructional materials, monitoring student progress and behavior, maintaining a safe and organized learning environment, and support the use of tools, equipment and technology. The Teach Assistant also helps reinforce employability skills, assist with work-based learning and performs related clerical and organizational tasks.
Qualifications:

NYS Teaching Assistant Certification (any level), required.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Experience working with students in educational, technical or vocational settings preferred.
- Experience in Career and Technical Education, Construction or Electric Vehicle Automotive.

Ability to support student success, workplace readiness, career explorations and safety.

OSHA 10 certification must be completed prior to 10/1/2026. To be provided by the District.
