Summary: A Shift Lead at S&G serves as direct support of the store manager; ensures that the store operates efficiently and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and Company policies; properly manages employees and works closely with Store Manager to ensure the store maximizes sales and profits while maintaining asset controls
Responsibilities:
- Provides excellent customer service leadership
- Ensures that all company policies are being followed
- Promotes and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out
- Can handle cash and card-based transactions with efficiency and integrity
- Responds quickly to all emergencies for the safety and security of customers and employees and notifies the appropriate individuals
- Ensures all merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly, which includes maintaining plan-o-gram integrity and appropriate sign placement
- Monitors store activities to ensure that transactions are taking place in the proper manner
- Ensures foodservice products are fresh and appealing by rotating products appropriately and removing out-of-date products
Requirements:
- Retail experience / Customer Service Experience Required
- Able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
- Able to frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
- Able to stand for an entire shift.
- Ability to periodically handle routine physical task such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and/or pulling.
- Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures for short periods of time. e.g., in the store, outside, and in the cooler.
- Available to work carious shifts and days of the week as required by the retail environment, including weekends, evenings, and busy periods/holidays.
