Overview
We are seeking a OTR- or I-5 dedicated and skilled Commercial Driver with Class A license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of driving, including tractor-trailer and delivery driving, and will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of freight.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles including , refrigerated trailers.
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours driven and freight transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
- Assist in the training of safety protocols as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience with standard transmission semi is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers and dry Van, and other commercial vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles is highly desirable.
- Ability loading equipment is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of load securing techniques and freight handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
