Position Requirements
This role is the dedicated finance lead for BridgeCare, NAPA’s locum tenens staffing business, and is an individual-contributor position reporting to the Finance team, with a dotted line to the Director of BridgeCare. It owns placement tracking and margin analysis, P&L creation, forecasting, pipeline development, and the strategic planning work that supports BridgeCare’s growth. The role acts as the trusted financial partner to the Director of BridgeCare — turning placement, pipeline, and pricing activity into the numbers and insight that shape decisions, not just reporting on results after the fact. BridgeCare builds and maintains its own models and reporting, primarily in Excel, and is expected to be fluent with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to work faster through recurring analysis and communication.
Placement Tracking & Margin Analysis
- Tracks placement volume, fill rates, and assignment-level detail across BridgeCare’s locum tenens book, maintaining the source data finance uses for reporting and forecasting.
- Monitors bill rate and pay rate spread by assignment and specialty, flagging margin erosion or pricing opportunities to the Director of BridgeCare.
P&L Creation & Reporting
- Builds and maintains BridgeCare’s monthly P&L — revenue, cost of placements, and contribution margin — and reconciles it against source placement data.
- Prepares the monthly and ad hoc financial review for the Director of BridgeCare and Corporate FP&A, explaining results in terms of placement volume, mix, and rate movement.
Forecasting
- Owns BridgeCare’s revenue and placement forecast, updating projections as pipeline activity and booked assignments change, and partners with the Director of BridgeCare to stress-test assumptions.
Pipeline Development & Business Development Partnership
- Partners with the Business Development Finance Manager(s) on the sales and placement pipeline, translating prospective client and clinician activity into forecast and capacity implications.
- Supports deal and rate economics for new facility relationships, working with Business Development to evaluate the financial case for prospective placements and accounts.
Strategic Planning
- Supports strategic planning for BridgeCare, including market and specialty expansion, competitive positioning, and scenario analysis for the business.
- Prepares ad hoc analyses as requested by the Director of BridgeCare or Corporate Finance leadership.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Process Improvement
- Acts as BridgeCare’s finance point of contact across Corporate FP&A, Corporate Accounting, and Business Development.
- Uses AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to automate recurring reporting and to work through metrics, processes, and communication more efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 3+ years in FP&A, staffing finance, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret placement and margin data and present conclusions to leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to make financial information clear to non-finance audiences.
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines without a supporting team.
- Locum tenens, staffing, or healthcare services experience.
- Vendor Management System (VMS) experience; familiarity with Ringo is a plus.
- Well versed in AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, with experience using them to automate recurring workflows and analysis.
- Advanced model building.
- Advanced Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with financial and accounting reporting systems; VMS platform experience (Ringo) a plus.
Generous benefits package, including:
- Paid Time Off
- Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance
- Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts
- 401(k)
