Parks and Recreation Maintenance Worker Position Available (PART-TIME)

Annual Salary: $26,629.20
General Summary:
Under general supervision performs grounds maintenance and repairs to areas maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. Reports to the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation
Description:
Maintains recreational fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and racquetball courts and the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of public restrooms
Maintains appearance and landscaping in City medians, parks, playing fields and around City Hall complex
Performs various repairs to recreational facilities to ensure proper operation and security
Performs general construction, plumbing, electrical installations and repairs to buildings, boxes, switches etc.
Construct various fixtures such as concession stands, etc., and may construct recreational structures such as basketball and soccer goals and posts, fitness trails, pavilions, playground equipment, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma preferred
1 – 3 years of experience in parks and facilities maintenance and construction
Valid Florida driver’s license required
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
