Romano’s is seeking experienced, personable, and dependable Servers to support a fast-paced pizza restaurant environment. The restaurant specializes in fresh, house-made dough, quality food, and a welcoming guest experience, including alcoholic beverage service.
Position Overview
The Server is responsible for creating an exceptional dining experience from greeting guests through payment and departure. The ideal candidate is energetic, professional, attentive to detail, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, specials, and beverages.
- Serve food and alcoholic beverages responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Monitor guest needs throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas.
- Assist with opening, closing, side work, and general restaurant operations.
- Process guest checks and payments accurately.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, management, and other service staff.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety procedures.
- Represent the restaurant professionally at all times.
- Travel between restaurant locations when business needs require it.
Qualifications
- Previous serving or restaurant experience preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced restaurant environment is a plus.
- Comfortable serving alcoholic beverages and interacting professionally with guests.
- Strong verbal communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to accurately handle orders, payments, and multiple guest requests.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute between store locations as needed.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team.
- Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and service-oriented.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
