Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate communication between healthcare providers, insurance companies, and third-party billing entities to ensure seamless information flow.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems by updating, organizing, and retrieving patient and provider information accurately.
- Assist with insurance claims processing, including verifying coverage details, submitting claims, and tracking reimbursement statuses.
- Support revenue cycle management activities by reviewing billing data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of provider interactions, service requests, and resolution steps to uphold transparency and accountability.
- Prepare reports on provider assistance activities, identify trends or issues, and suggest process improvements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to provider inquiries and offering clear guidance on managed care policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of managed care operations, health insurance processes, and third-party billing practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and healthcare data security standards.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation and insurance claims.
- Experience in revenue cycle management tasks such as billing, coding, claim submission, and reimbursement tracking.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes clearly to providers and internal teams.
- Proven organizational skills with keen attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration or a related role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
