Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our brand new psychiatric hospital. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized medical environments. Registered Nurses will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Full-time and part time day or night shifts available. 12 hr shifts
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes in condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform various clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and phlebotomy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
- Proficiency in medical record documentation.
- Experience in psychiatric hospitalization
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and medical documentation practices.
- Competence in administering injections, and managing acute pain.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and manage complex patient cases in various settings such as hospice & palliative medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency rooms.
