Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans that integrate art and STEM concepts suitable for diverse age groups and developmental stages
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, experimentation, and self-expression
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies and clear expectations
- Guide students through hands-on projects in areas such as visual arts, robotics, coding, engineering challenges, and scientific experiments
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including basic first aid procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support student development and address individual needs
- Maintain organized classroom environments conducive to active learning and creativity
- Incorporate elements of special education strategies when working with students requiring additional support
- Promote positive social interactions among students through Christian counseling principles or similar approaches when appropriate
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting roles
- Strong classroom management skills to create an engaging yet disciplined learning environment
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to manage behavior effectively using age-appropriate strategies
- Experience with arts education, STEM activities, theater arts or related creative disciplines
- Familiarity with safety procedures including basic first aid certification
- Experience working with students who have special needs or require individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners
- Passion for fostering curiosity in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics disciplines
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles and developmental levels
