Quality Assurance Specialist
Our growing, state-of-the-art facility in Erie has an exciting, newly created opportunity for a Quality Assurance Specialist. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Specialist supports product quality and compliance by performing and documenting First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
What you’ll do:
- Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAIs) in compliance with AS9102 requirements
- Accurately prepare and complete AS9102 Forms 1, 2, and 3
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase orders to ensure assemblies are built in compliance with requirements
- Balloon drawings and ensure all characteristics are accounted for and traceable
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve discrepancies
- Verify material certifications, special process certifications, and test reports
- Maintain organized records of inspection documentation and quality reports
What will make you stand out?
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Inspection, or a related manufacturing environment
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with inspection tools and measurement techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Job requires that employee is able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25 - 50 pounds
- Must have excellent eyesight and hearing (cannot be color blind)
- Work environment includes machines and tools with sharp moving parts and hot surfaces
- Employees may be exposed to moderate noise levels and processes that utilize solder, potting material, conformal coating and cleaning agents, which have various odors
- Employees must wear safety glasses ,ESD smocks, ESD straps at all times when on the production floor (all of these items are provided by 4Front)
