Sales Associate – Outside Sales Representative For Packaging Distribution

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our growing packaging company. This position will work closely with our Sales Team to support existing customer accounts, prepare quotes, coordinate orders, and provide excellent customer service throughout the sales and order process.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once, and coordinating with customers and internal departments. Experience in packaging, distribution, manufacturing, or B2B sales support is preferred but not required. The Sales Associate will also travel throughout the Midwest to support customer relationships, attend customer meetings, and assist our sales team with business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support assigned Sales Representatives with new and existing customer accounts.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding quotes, orders, product information, and general inquiries.
- Review customer purchase orders to ensure pricing, quantities, specifications, shipping information, and other requirements are accurate.
- Follow up on pending quotes, projects, samples, and customer orders.
- Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Sourcing, Logistics, Accounting, and other internal teams to ensure orders are processed properly.
- Gain exposure to international sourcing, global business operations, and sales.
- Communicate order status, production updates, shipping information, and other relevant information to customers and Sales Representatives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, quote, and order information in the company's CRM and ERP systems.
- Assist customers with packaging product inquiries and help identify appropriate packaging solutions based on their requirements.
- Monitor open projects and orders and proactively identify potential delays, discrepancies, or issues.
- Assist with resolving customer service issues related to orders, deliveries, product specifications, or documentation.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the company's packaging products, capabilities, pricing structure, and order processes.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Participate in customer visits, meetings, presentations, and other sales-related activities.
- Travel throughout the assigned Midwest territory as business needs require.
- Perform other sales support and account management duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, account coordination, order management, or a related role preferred.
- Outside Sales Experiences preferred.
- Experience in packaging, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, quantities, and product specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, orders, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow through on projects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in the office as required.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
