Hilltop Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping / Floor Care Aide to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring all housekeeping and floor care duties are completed according to facility standards.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces throughout the facility.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
- Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.
- Perform routine floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.
- Operate housekeeping and floor care equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the appropriate department.
- Interact with residents, families, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or floor care experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and floor care machinery or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
