Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive behavior assessments and skills assessments.
- Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Functional Analyses (when clinically appropriate).
- Develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Create and update treatment plans based on assessment findings and ongoing data analysis.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment protocols as needed.
Supervision & Clinical Leadership
- Supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), BCaBAs, and BCBA Interns in accordance with BACB requirements.
- Conduct competency assessments and direct observations.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to clinical staff.
- Ensure treatment integrity and implementation fidelity.
- Support staff development through clinical guidance and training.
Data Analysis & Clinical Decision-Making
- Review and analyze client data to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Make data-driven treatment decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely graphing and interpretation of behavioral data.
- Identify barriers to progress and implement appropriate clinical modifications.
Parent & Caregiver Training
- Conduct caregiver training sessions focused on skill generalization and behavior management.
- Collaborate with families to develop practical strategies for home and community settings.
- Maintain consistent communication regarding client progress and treatment recommendations.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with families, physicians, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other professionals involved in client care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, school meetings, and care coordination as needed.
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete all required clinical documentation accurately and within established deadlines, including:
- Initial assessments
- Treatment plans
- Progress reports
- Supervision documentation
- Parent training notes
- Clinical session documentation
- Insurance authorization requests
- Reauthorization reports
- Incident reports (when applicable)
- Discharge summaries
Ensure documentation meets BACB, payer, HIPAA, and organizational standards.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain compliance with BACB Ethics Code and applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and internal audits.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready clinical documentation.
- Support the organization's commitment to clinical excellence.
Professional Development
- Maintain active BCBA certification.
- Maintain all required state licensure (if applicable).
- Complete all required continuing education units (CEUs).
- Stay current with evidence-based ABA research and best practices.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications Required
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
Preferred
- Experience conducting VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland, PEAK, or similar assessments.
- Experience with insurance-funded ABA services.
- Experience supervising RBTs and BCBA trainees.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong knowledge of ABA principles and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
