About the Role
Team DriveAway is seeking a highly detail-oriented DOT Log Auditor / Safety Compliance Associate to join our Safety Department. In this role, you will help ensure Independent Contractor drivers remain compliant with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations while supporting key safety and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Hours of Service (HOS) & Log Auditing
- Audit driver HOS logs for accuracy and FMCSA compliance
- Run daily compliance and violation reports
- Assist drivers with log corrections and HOS questions
- Counsel drivers on Hours of Service regulations
- Issue compliance notices, violations, and warning letters
- Provide daily missing-log reports to Driver Pay
Safety Department Support
- Maintain and update Driver Qualification Files (DQFs)
- Support random drug and alcohol testing program administration
- Monitor driver compliance documentation
- Assist with internal safety reporting and data analysis
Driver & Office Support
- Prepare and ship onboarding supply packets
- Support Independent Contractor drivers with compliance questions
- Generate reports to identify safety trends and improvement opportunities
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Skilled at working with data, reports, and compliance documentation
- Clear and professional communication abilities Interest in transportation safety and DOT compliance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of administrative or customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn web-based compliance systems
- Transportation or safety department experience preferred
- Familiarity with the MOTIVE app is a plus

Work Schedule & Location:

Pay: $45,000.00 - $57,500.00 per year
