Job Summary
We are seeking a fun and detail focused Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Operations Manager in overseeing e-commerce shipping activities, inventory management, process improvements, and managing a small crew of employees doing assembling and order picking/packing. This position requires an innovative attitude and ability to plan activities based on a 10,000 foot view of what is needed.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily operations, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Oversee activities, supervising staff and participating alongside them to maintain high performance levels in assembly, picking, and packing of orders.
- Implement process improvement initiatives such as inventory control methods and more ergonomic order processing flows.
Requirements
- Experience in operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Basic mechanical and/or electrical knowledge a plus but not required. Must not be afraid to turn a screwdriver.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with supervising experience and a fun, light-hearted attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Able to lift up to 40lbs.
Starting pay is $20/hour
Standard hours are M-F 9-4 with options to start earlier and/or stay later (never required).
