Radiology Technologist (X-Ray / CT / MRI) – Orthopedic Practice

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8-5 Friday, 8-12
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to support our busy private orthopedic practice. This role offers a unique blend of diagnostic imaging and direct patient care, including rooming patients and assisting with clinical workflow.
The right individual will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible across duties, and committed to delivering efficient, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging Duties
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, including:
- Digital X-rays (required)
- CT scans (if certified)
- MRI scans (if certified)
- Ensure proper patient positioning, shielding, and safety protocols
- Follow orthopedic-specific imaging protocols and physician orders
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment
- Accurately document and upload images into PACS/EMR systems
Clinical / Patient Care Duties
- Room patients and prepare them for evaluation by providers
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient flow and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper stocking of supplies
- Provide patient education related to imaging procedures when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification (RT(R)) required
- CT (ARRT-CT) and/or MRI (ARRT-MR) certification preferred
- Current state licensure (State of Kansas)
- BLS certification preferred
- Prior experience in orthopedic, outpatient, or clinic-based setting strongly preferred
- Ability to multitask and transition between imaging and clinical duties
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset
