Fatherhood Strengthening Specialist (Case Manager)
Location: Memphis, TN (Travel Required)
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Assignment: Temporary through October 31, 2026

Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers to employment while strengthening families? We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Fatherhood Strengthening Specialist (Case Manager) to support fathers and families participating in the TN TANF AFFIRM Program.
In this role, you'll provide individualized case management, employment support, and community resource coordination to help participants achieve long-term stability through education, employment, and stronger family relationships.
Travel Requirements
This position requires regular travel to meet with participants at various church locations throughout Memphis.
Program sites include:
- 3759 N. Watkins St., Memphis, TN 38127
- 620 Parkrose Rd., Memphis, TN 38109
- 1254 E. Shelby Dr., Memphis, TN 38116
Reliable transportation is required.
What You'll Do
As a Fatherhood Strengthening Specialist, you will:
- Manage a caseload of program participants facing significant employment barriers.
- Conduct assessments and identify barriers to employment.
- Develop individualized employment and case management plans.
- Connect participants with workforce development programs and community resources.
- Provide job readiness coaching, employment counseling, and job search assistance.
- Coordinate supportive services such as childcare and community referrals.
- Monitor participant progress and document case activities.
- Support participants in obtaining and maintaining employment.
- Follow program guidelines for participant compliance and engagement.
- Collaborate with community partners and internal program staff.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4–6 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Case Management
- Workforce Development
- Employment Services
- Social Services
- Human Services
- Career Counseling
- Community Outreach
- Experience developing and managing case plans
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with individuals facing employment and life challenges
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following are highly encouraged to apply:

- Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)
- Reentry or justice-involved populations
- Employment counseling
- Community resource coordination

- Family support programs
- Employer outreach or business engagement
Technical Skills
Preferred proficiency with:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft Office Suite
Strong conflict resolution, documentation, and problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Important Requirements
- You must provide your own laptop or computer device. Equipment will not be provided.
- Must be able to travel between program locations throughout Memphis.
- Assignment is expected to conclude on October 31, 2026.
