Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development, including motor skills, language acquisition, and social-emotional growth
- Supervise and engage with one-year-old children during play, learning activities, meals, naps, and outdoor time to ensure safety and active participation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and independence
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, ensuring immediate response in case of emergencies
- Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting any concerns related to child welfare or behavior management issues appropriately
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support developmental milestones such as language skills, motor coordination, and social skills
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child supervision techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and nurturing qualities
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
