Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. As a Preschool Teacher, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your role is vital in fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom where children can explore, learn, and thrive. You will work closely with children aged 2 to 5 years old, supporting their individual needs and encouraging a love for learning from the very start of their educational journey.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum frameworks such as Montessori or other pedagogies.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social skills, emotional regulation, and cooperative play among children.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining a structured routine that supports learning objectives.
- Support children's developmental milestones by applying principles of childhood development and early intervention strategies.
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and address challenges constructively.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through regular communication about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, assessments, and individualized plans when necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children, including literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and sensory activities.
- Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and classroom management.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to implement standardized testing methods for early assessment purposes when applicable.
- Proficiency in lesson planning that incorporates Montessori principles or other child-centered educational philosophies.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and best practices for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students.
