The mission of West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is to ?Serve West Point and the Long Gray Line.? WPAOG is both the alumni association and foundation for the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. Our vision is to ensure the Long Gray Line remains the most highly connected alumni body in the world. USMA is renowned as the world's preeminent leadership development institution. The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven professional to serve as Coordinator of Shared Interest Groups, Sponsorships, & Advertising. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Shared Interest Groups, Sponsorships, & Advertising.
This role plays a pivotal part in strengthening alumni engagement through Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) while implementing revenue-generating sponsorship and advertising initiatives that support the life journey of West Point Graduates, otherwise referred to as the ?Long Gray Line.? Working closely with senior leadership, the Coordinator helps foster meaningful connections across the Long Gray Line and supports innovative engagement strategies that benefit alumni, cadets, cadet parents, veterans, and business partners.
The Coordinator will work part-time in a continuous, fast-paced, exciting environment while providing hands-on administrative, technical, marketing, and engagement support to SIG leaders, including onboarding, consistent communications, and leadership training. The position also supports the planning and operations of high-visibility events such as the WPAOG Army/Navy Football Tailgate, West Point Entrepreneur Summit, conferences, business networking socials, Ring Melt Ceremony, First Class Social, and the West Point Golf Invitational. In addition, the coordinator assists with sponsorship and advertising initiatives across digital, print, social, and event platforms, helping identify prospects, prepare proposals, administer contracts, and track program analytics to ensure continuous improvement and impact.
The incumbent must bring strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and confidence working with corporate playmakers. Personal attributes must include long-term strategic planning, risk mitigation, and project management. Excellent forecasting, progressive advertising techniques, and veteran community trends are required.
A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor?s degree with corporate or military-related experience are preferred, along with comfort in rapidly learning CRM systems and event management platforms. Though this role is primarily on-site, at times, this role requires hybrid work, including off-site event coordination at key alumni and United States Military Academy events. Additionally, the Coordinator must be able to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects at one time.
This is a part-time 29 hours per week position that does not offer benefits and will pay approximately $26-$28 per hour based on skills and experience. Please submit a cover letter, resume and up to three (3) letters of reference.
