Overview
The Village ABA is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team in the Fort Walton Beach area! In this position, the RBT will provide intensive, one-on-one behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays in language, cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will work closely with clients to promote positive behavior changes and enhance their quality of life through structured support and patient care. This will begin as a part-time position with the potential to increase hours as we continue to grow. We are looking for individuals who are able to work days and evenings until 5 PM. The RBT is responsible for the direct delivery of the behavioral services to our clients, as well as accurate record-keeping of case notes and excellent communication with supervising BCBA regarding their client's progress and barriers toward skill acquisition and behavior reduction targets. The RBT will maintain a weekly billable caseload of service hours as directed by the Clinical Director.
This position requires working with young children with a lot of energy! The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with a variety of abilities. Candidate must know how to make learning fun!

Skills and Abilities
- Perform general clerical duties including maintain accurate client records and preparing clear and concise reports
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients, parents/caregivers, BCBAs, other ABBA employees, school personnel, etc.
- Exhibit professional behavior by attending all therapy sessions and meetings on time according to schedule
- Understand behavioral situations and react accordingly in an ethical manner
Knowledge of:
- Appropriate behavioral intervention strategies
- Learning theories and instructional methods
- Ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions
- Developmental processes of children, adolescents, and adults
- Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and research data collection.
- Assist clients with daily living skills and promote independence through patient care strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive information.
- Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support the client’s needs.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and behavioral health.
- Engage in ongoing assessment of client behaviors and adjust strategies as needed to ensure effective interventions.
- Provide direct ABA therapy to clients in center, in school, and in the community
- Run skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
- Complete weekly program writing, data collection, and graphing
Additional Job Requirements
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history L2 background check
- Provide I9 and W4 updated forms
- Maintain RBT certification
- Basic Life Support CPR/AED training provided by the agency and renew certifications as needed
- Receive ongoing supervision
- Adhere to ethics

Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or in a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical records management and documentation practices.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including empathy, patience, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret research data effectively.
- Must have an active license and in be in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in psychology, social work, or related fields is advantageous.
