Summary
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team in Belleville, NJ. This role is vital in enriching the educational experience of our students aged five to twenty-one, fostering their love for music while supporting their individual developmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging music curriculum tailored to the needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity.
- Conduct music lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary.
- Organize music-related events and performances to showcase student talents.
- Provide feedback to students and families on progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom space.
- The teacher will provide music instruction to students with disabilities that will follow the NJDOE;NJSLA standards for the State of New Jersey.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Education or higher in a related field required. DOE provisional or standard teaching certificate. Experience required.
- Proven experience in teaching music, preferably in a special education setting.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for fostering a love of music in students.
