Excel Dermatology of Hawaii is a growing dermatology practice in Honolulu led by Dr. Iris Noh, offering medical dermatology, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetics. The Role
We're looking for a Medical Assistant who goes beyond the basics, takes initiative, and genuinely cares about patients, about the team, and about how the clinic runs. You'll be cross-trained across Mohs surgery, medical dermatology, and aesthetics, and you'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of a clinic area that plays to your strengths.

What You'll Do
Mohs Surgery
- Prep rooms and patients for surgery
- Administer local anesthesia under physician supervision
- Assist with procedures, bandaging, and wound care
- Deliver post-op instructions to patients
- Document clinical notes and photographs accurately
Medical Dermatology
- Room patients and present history to the provider
- Assist with skin exams and procedures (biopsies, excisions, etc.)
- Scribe during visits and review after-care instructions with patients
- Maintain organized, procedure-ready clinic rooms
Team & Operations
- Manage patient messages and relay information to the physician
- Support scheduling, patient flow, payment collections, and follow-ups
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve how the clinic runs

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in dermatology and/or Mohs surgery
- Familiarity with ModMed EMA or a similar dermatology EMR
- Experience with insurance prior authorizations and basic billing workflows
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
Schedule
- Full-time preferred; part-time considered for the right candidate
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (subject to change based on clinic needs)
