Looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our talented team and provide exceptional care in our Physician Supervised Medical Weight Loss and Hormone Therapy Clinic.
Our program consists of nutritional modification, prescription appetite suppressant (as medically appropriate) for healthy weight loss and long-term wellness. Clinic has full staff to triage and counsel patients.
Responsibilities:
- Physicals for new and follow up patients
- Complete health histories
- Interpret EKGs
- Order and Interpret Blood Work
- Order and Interpret Body Fat Analysis
- Treat and counsel weight-loss patients
- Treat co-morbidities of bariatric patients
- Prescribe anorectics
- Document patients progress
- Manage medical responsibilities of two Medical Assistants
- Documents patients' progress and assists with patient care management under the direct supervision of the Medical Director.
Job Functions Obtains and reviews patient's medical history information relevant to patient care Conducts physical examinations Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures Assumes responsibility for prescribing FDA approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines Reviews patient's progress and manages patient care accordingly Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management Conducts patient consultations and provides preventive medicine counseling. Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR. Performs other clinical duties as required to support the team. Qualifications
- Active FL NP License
- DEA Certificate
Job Types: Part-time, every other Saturday 8:30am-5pm.
