Position Summary
The Medical Assistant assists licensed medical providers in both clinic and surgical environments, providing safe, knowledgeable, and compassionate care to all patients. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient patient flow and upholding high standards of care throughout our practice.
This position will require travel to multiple locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following reflects core expectations but is not all-inclusive:

Serve as a patient advocate during exams, procedures, and treatments

Room patients and assist with efficient patient flow

Obtain and document medical history, medications, allergies, and vitals

Accurately document patient encounters in EMA (ModMed) using an iPad
-
Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and surgical treatments

Assist providers with general dermatology visits, cosmetic procedures, and surgery

Maintain sterile technique and assist during surgical procedures
-
Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider

Collect and process laboratory specimens (blood, tissue, etc.)

Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and wound care
-
Perform tasks such as injections, suture removal, and dressing changes
-
Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to procedures

Clean and sterilize equipment and properly dispose of biohazard materials
-
Support prescription refills under provider direction
-
Maintain accurate, timely documentation
-
Adhere to HIPAA, safety standards, and clinic policies

Participate in quality improvement initiatives
-
Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education and Certification Requirements:

One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting, dermatology practice preferred
-
Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) -Required

National certification (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or AMT)

Current CPR/BLS certification -required

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Multiple schedules available, 40 hours/week
Wages: Wages determined based on experience, entry wage is $20.61
