Job Summary:
Shella is looking for professional and compassionate respite workers to provide non-medical and non-transportation support to their clients, many of whom are disabled. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will be responsible for providing personal care services, meal preparation and clean-up, along with conducting daily enrichment activities. You will also be required to report any incidents, injury, or suspicion of abuse and act quickly in case of emergency.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, toileting, lifting and transferring, and cleaning up after soilage or messes.
- Prepare and clean up after meals.
- Conduct daily enrichment activities such as crafts, puzzles, reading, and board games.
- Report any incidents, injury, or suspicion of abuse.
- Act and respond quickly in case of emergency.
Note: Respite workers are personal attendants employed by a private household or a third-party employer in healthcare. They should not engage in any significant work activities beyond their primary role of providing care and support with daily activities. Personal attendants are exempt from uninterrupted meal and rest break requirements, while respite workers must provide their own meals when doing respite work. Given the nature and safety requirements of respite work, workers will have on-duty meal periods.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
