About the Role:
The Pool Supervisor for the summer season plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool patrons. This position involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe swimming environment. The supervisor will be responsible for enforcing pool rules and regulations, conducting regular safety checks, and responding to any emergencies that may arise. Additionally, the role includes organizing recreational activities and events to enhance the overall experience for guests. Ultimately, the Pool Supervisor is dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere while prioritizing the health and safety of all visitors.
Minimum Qualifications:

Current certification in lifeguarding and CPR/AED.

Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a recreational or aquatic setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in organizing recreational programs or events.

Knowledge of pool maintenance and water chemistry.

First Aid certification.
Responsibilities:

Supervise staff during daily activities.
-
Assist Director in collating and transporting program supplies.
-
Assist in planning and implementing swimming lessons, camp swim, open swim.
-
Assist in Swim Lessons.
-
Supervise pool, staff and participants during program day, which includes lessons, Race for Chase, camp swim and open swim.

Organize and transport supplies for program daily

Organize and transport first aid supplies.
-
Evaluate and test camp swimmers and organize them according to their abilities.

Supervise daily check in and check out of swimmers as needed.

Manage and supervise staff and swimmers.

Maintain constant interaction with parents, swimmers and staff.
-
Responsible for maintaining discipline among swimmers and families.

Responsible for providing direction as needed.

Assist with and help supervise cleaning and sanitizing pool area.

Assist in running staff weekly Lost person drills, back boarding and any other necessary skills.

Implement pool safety access in event of inclement/hazardous weather.

Stay with swimmers and staff until they are picked up at end of the day.

Report to Recreation office.

Supervise and manage lifeguard staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to handle emergencies.

Conduct regular inspections of the pool area, including water quality testing and maintenance checks.

Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.

Plan and coordinate recreational activities and events for guests of all ages.

Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
