Overview
We are looking for an experienced sedation nurse to assist with conscious sedation for interventional pain procedures. We use versed, fentanyl, and an occasional small dose of propofol . We have full monitors , oxygen, capnograph, defirillator, and all reversal agents needed for a safe and optimal experience. Each procedure lasts 15-30 minutes and we perform around 16-18 per day. We start the IV ahead of time and also take care of recovery. Paperwork is largely filled out in advance as well.
We are very safe and have never had a complication . We have been in operation since 2017.
This would be a contracted 1099 position.
Responsibilities
- Administer sedation medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal safety and comfort.
- Recognize and respond promptly to adverse reactions or emergencies using critical care response procedures; manage airway support as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration; additional certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proven experience working with sedation protocols in settings such as ICU, emergency room, or outpatient surgery centers.
- Ability to start an IV if needed.
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
