POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Data Scientist will work with biostatistics, data management, clinical development, and medical affairs team to provide data analytics and data science solution in supporting clinical development program and evidence generation activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively using innovative methodology and technology for data analysis in cooperation with peers across all Rigel functions
- Identify productive new technological initiatives using data science, mathematics, statistics and AI approach to clinical trial and real world data
- Understand the clinical trial design and analysis methodology.
- Involved in the protocol design, statistical analysis plan, clinical study reports, publications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ph.D. in Biostatistics; or closely related discipline, with two years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech industry setting; or equivalent combination of e
- Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of statistical experimental design, data analysis
- Demonstrated proficiency with software R, SAS, Python, GitHub, and Generative AI Tools
- Understanding of ICH, FDA guidelines;
- Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication (oral and written) skills
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The anticipated salary range for this position is National $150,000 to $180,000 and, if applicable, Premium Market (SFBA/NYC/Boston Area) $160,000 to $190,000. The actual salary offered will depend on several factors, including experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
This position is eligible to participate in Rigel's annual bonus program and is eligible for equity incentive awards, subject to the terms of the applicable plans. This position is not commission-based.
