Fuel Distribution System Operator (FDSO)--Part-Time: Qualified candidates will need to have commercial or military experience with operating fuel bulk storage and distribution systems and equipment performing tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management five-skill level or similar commercial/military standard. Pay for this position is currently $44.47 per hour plus additional H&W per hour worked. Hours of work will be Mon- 12:00am to 11:59 pm.

Job Description:
The duties and responsibilities of the Fuels Distribution System Operator (FDSO) consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Applies petroleum related technical knowledge to perform complex tasks associated with multiple fuel storage and distribution systems. Fuel systems operations Include receipt, storage, inventory, and issue of conventional aviation/ground fuel products.
- The FDSO conducts daily, weekly, monthly, and recurring operator inspections and performs minor operator maintenance on fixed storage fuel distribution systems.
- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs conventional aviation/ground fuel receipts, storage, and transfer operations.
- Performs all petroleum handling and associated duties in strict compliance to governing United States Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency-Energy and Defense Contract Services, Inc. technical orders and policy/procedural directives.
- Maintains personal technical competency in Air Force and Performance Work Statement (PWS) prescribed environmental, safety, skill knowledge, training, and performance levels to proficiently and safely execute all assigned fuels handling tasks.
- Performs operator inspection and maintenance of fuels equipment and facilities in compliance to pertinent technical orders and Statement of Work (SOW).
- Performs basic fuel sampling analysis IAW Air Force T.O. 42B-1-1.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in common/public work areas and fuels facilities.
- Provides on-the-job training.
Qualifications
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsment
- Proficient in petroleum system inspection and maintenance practices and can identify and mitigate potentially hazardous situations.
- Current and proficient in all operational and safety training associated with hazardous materials, contamination monitors and equipment handling to include the ability to demonstrate safety actions in product handling and identifying and reporting to higher levels.
- Must be physically capable of performing all duties including lifting 60+ pounds, climbing fuel tanks up to 45 feet high and climbing on tank trucks.
- Able to meet pro-employment and random drug/alcohol testing requirements.
