Rent.Live provides fully furnished student housing near local colleges. We're hiring two full-time Cleaner/Inspectors to help keep our student apartments clean, safe, and move-in ready.
Primary Responsibility: Apartment Inspections
This position combines apartment inspections and cleaning. Your first responsibility each day is to complete scheduled apartment inspections using Rent.Live's mobile inspection app on your smartphone. During each inspection, you will document the apartment's condition, identify any cleaning or maintenance concerns, and submit your findings via the app.
After completing the inspection, you will either:
- Perform the scheduled cleaning of the apartment, or
- Travel to your next assigned inspection or cleaning location.
What You'll Do
- Conduct apartment inspections using our mobile inspection app
- Record unit conditions, cleanliness concerns, and maintenance issues
- Clean and sanitize occupied student apartment units
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean common areas
- Clean bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and glass surfaces
- Prepare apartments for move-ins, transfers, and lease turnovers
- Assist with room checks and move-in day preparations
- Follow up on unit-related issues with the Property Manager
Daily Expectations
- Complete scheduled inspections and cleaning assignments
- Clean approximately 3 apartment units per day
- Average 2 hours per unit
- Travel between apartment communities throughout the Indianapolis area
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of residential or apartment cleaning experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues during inspections
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable using smartphone apps and technology
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical cleaning tasks
Requirements
- Reliable transportation (required)
- Smartphone capable of running our inspection app
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Social Security Number
- Must provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to travel between multiple apartment communities
