We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this role, you will serve as the first line of defense, monitoring activities, controlling access points, and ensuring a safe environment for staff, visitors, and property. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent incidents and respond effectively to emergencies. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, utilizing surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activity.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including performing first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activity, safety hazards, or security breaches for record-keeping and future reference.
- Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as required to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Enforce security regulations by monitoring surveillance footage, conducting manual inspections, and managing crowd control during events or busy periods.
- Assist in emergency response procedures such as fire drills, AED operation, or conflict de-escalation techniques to maintain safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are preferred; relevant training will be provided if necessary.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and manage conflict effectively through de-escalation techniques.
- Demonstrated understanding of physical security principles and compliance with security regulations.
- Capable of patrolling large areas on foot or via vehicle while maintaining alertness throughout shifts.
