Dance Instructor & College Recruiting Consultant
A competitive dance studio is hiring an instructor/consultant to teach College Pom and Technical Jazz classes and guide our competitive dancers through the college dance team recruiting process.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly College Pom and Technical Jazz classes for competitive dancers
- Guide dancers/families through recruiting timelines, deadlines, and expectations
- Review recruiting videos and give technique/performance feedback
- Help build target college lists based on fit (skill, style, location, culture)
- Advise on resumes and interview prep
- Stay current on college programs' video/audition requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with college coaches over time
Requirements
- Strong technical dance background; able to teach pom and jazz at a competitive level
- Firsthand experience with college dance recruiting (former college dancer, coach, or consultant)
- Working knowledge of recruiting logistics (pre-screens, common video standards, audition timelines)
- Organized, reliable, comfortable as the go-to contact for dancers and parents
- Bonus: existing college coach relationships
Schedule & Pay Part-time. Weekly teaching hours plus flexible consulting time during clinic/audition season. Pay based on experience.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
