Job Description – Test Technician I
Custom Magnetics of California is seeking a Test Technician to provide transformer testing support, and various other tasks within our Engineering team. The position will include testing of transformers.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and take down of test equipment and transformers.
- Perform standard production electrical tests, collect and record test data.
- Maintain test equipment and materials used in testing in good condition.
- Produce test documents and reports using Word and Excel as required.
- Produce and maintain test documents and reports in good order for Units in WIP and after shipment.
- Effective communication to stakeholders
- Support quality assurance efforts
- Professional representation of firm ensuring customer confidence
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering
- knowledge of working with 480V and safety rules.
- Familiarity with use of Digital Multimeter and Power Analyzer a plus.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Can work with hand tools.
- General understanding of how transformers function.
- Willing to learn new skills and related test software.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Pay: $27.00 - $33.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
