The Site Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Build Operations and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned Habitat build sites across our 5-county service area. This is a full-time, exempt position.Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations on assigned build sites across Caroline, Essex, Westmorland, King & Queen, and Richmond County
- Work 4 ten-hour days per week, including Saturdays; schedules subject to change with each new Self-Help group
- Work with and supervise all subcontractors, including soliciting and reviewing bids
- Assist in ordering materials and ensure timely, safe delivery and storage until installation
- Coordinate with the Director of Build Operations to complete all required county, state, and federal permits
- Supervise all workers on site, including Self-Help homebuyers, volunteers, and subcontractors
- Schedule and call in all required inspections to the county building department
- Meet with building inspectors and walk the site during required inspections
- Ensure all homebuyers and volunteers are trained in proper construction techniques and that jobsite safety protocols are followed at all times
- Complete all required OSHA 30 training and maintain a safe job site
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Work closely with Habitat homebuyers to ensure materials selections meet budget requirements and applicable building codes
- Collaborate with the Director of Build Operations on annual budget requests for tools, machinery, and equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery; ensure proper use and scheduled maintenance
- Represent Habitat for Humanity at public appearances, speaking engagements, and community events as needed
- Attend community events to help market the program and recruit build site volunteers
- Research and implement building science techniques to improve energy efficiency and accessibility
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to be insured and bonded at a reasonable rate
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and climb ladders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Minimum of 3 years of construction experience
- Must pass a criminal background check (position involves working with volunteers, some of whom may be minors)
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
- Must comply with CRRHFH drug-free workplace policy
