Skyport Aviation is seeking enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Customer Service Representatives to join our Fixed Base Operator (FBO) team at Tacoma Narrows Airport (TIW). We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available for individuals who enjoy providing outstanding customer service in a dynamic aviation environment.
As the first point of contact for pilots, passengers, crew members, and visitors, our Customer Service Representatives play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience while supporting the daily operations of our FBO.
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative provides front desk and administrative support while ensuring every customer receives prompt, courteous, and professional service. Responsibilities include greeting customers, coordinating aircraft services, processing transactions, answering phones, scheduling reservations, and supporting line service and operational staff as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist pilots, passengers, crew members, and visitors.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
- Coordinate aircraft arrivals, departures, fuel requests, hangar reservations, and ground transportation.
- Process fuel sales, invoices, payments, and customer transactions accurately.
- Schedule rental cars, hotel accommodations, catering, and other concierge services.
- Maintain accurate customer records and daily operational documentation.
- Communicate effectively with line service personnel and other departments to ensure seamless customer service.
- Monitor lobby, conference rooms, and customer lounge areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks, filing, and general office support.
- Follow company policies, airport procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, or aviation experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous FBO or aviation customer service experience.
- Experience with scheduling, reservations, or front desk operations.
- Familiarity with aviation terminology is a plus but not required.
