Summary:
American Industrial Contractors is seeking a motivated HVAC Director of Operations to oversee daily operations in Greensboro, NC. This role is responsible for supporting and supervising department managers and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality services to commercial and industrial clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Directly supervise, mentor, and support department leaders.

In collaboration with EHS Director, ensure all team members follow company safety policies and industry best practices.

Manage day-to-day field and production operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Oversee scheduling of jobs in coordination with the project management and customer service teams.

Track job progress and resolve delays or operational issues to ensure timely completion.

Monitor workload, assign teams appropriately, and ensure adequate staffing coverage to deliver quality work.

Coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure parts and materials are available as needed.

Collaborate with NPC Shared Services team for Financial, IT, HR, and Safety needs.

Serve as the main point of contact for escalated customer issues and ensure prompt resolution.

Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and participate in operational strategy meetings.

Perform regular inspections of work in progress to ensure quality control and code compliance

Pursue objectives of insuring installations follow industry standards and best practices, and inspections pass on initial attempts.
Qualification requirements:

Minimum 8 years of HVAC industry experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.

Proven leadership and team development skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Working knowledge of HVAC systems, construction processes, and applicable regulations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Experience managing P&L for a department or division.

Ability to read and understand English.
