We're looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Barista who takes pride in crafting exceptional beverages and providing outstanding customer service.
As a Barista, you'll prepare specialty coffee and matcha drinks with consistency and care, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and help create memorable experiences for every guest. Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty espresso drinks, matcha beverages, teas, and other menu items according to REN Coffee recipes and quality standards.
- Deliver friendly, genuine customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
- Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS system efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including espresso equipment, workstations, seating areas, and dishwashing.
- Restock milk, syrups, cups, lids, food items, and other supplies throughout the shift.
- Complete assigned daily cleaning and side work.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Help monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure fast, efficient service during busy periods.
- Maintain REN Coffee's high standards for beverage quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Continuously learn and improve coffee knowledge, beverage techniques, and customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or food service experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
- Passion for specialty coffee, matcha, and providing exceptional customer experiences.
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and confidence handling cash and POS transactions (Square experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
