Position Summary
The office manager is a part-time hourly position with approximately 20 hours per week between the hours of 9am to 2pm Monday – Thursday supporting the ministries and administrative aspects of The Church. A welcoming attitude with excellent communication skills is essential. The person must bring a calm, professional and welcoming presence. This person will be responsible for the church functions, the maintenance of the events calendar, the website and the publication of the weekly newsletter. The administrative assistant reports directly to the Senior Pastor and is accountable to the Pastoral Staff and The Church Council via the Personnel Board.
Principle Responsibilities
Communication Liaison:
· Assist in all the churchwide communications including the newsletter, email blasts, social media updates and the coordination of the events and activities at the church to both inside and outside groups.
· Manage incoming communications via email, mail or phone and coordinate volunteers to ensure phone coverage during office hours.
· Maintain and assist in updating the website for all changes and communications.
· Schedule and assist the electronic meetings on Zoom
Administrative Functions:
· Enlist and train office volunteers to assist with phone coverage and clerical duties.
· Order and maintain office supplies.
· Facilitate the Annual Report Filings with the ELCA Synod
· Report copyright Licensing to appropriate entities.
· Maintain and update the member database in Church 360.
· Coordinate all projects or assignments as directed by the Senior Pastor.
Facilities Use Management:
· Manage the calendars for all the internal and external usage of the church’s facilities.
· Work with the external groups to ensure they are following our usage guidelines for the facility.
· Coordinate with the Property Management Staff to ensure that all spaces are set up Correctly for each group’s usage.
· Maintain an inventory of all assets within the church for insurance purposes.
Essential Qualifications:
· Be a self-starter who demonstrates an ability to make sound decisions within the guidelines provided by the senior pastor
· Some administrative assistant/Manager experience preferred but not required.
· Must be organized and demonstrate strong listening, writing and speaking skills.
· Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with interruptions.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
· Valid Colorado driver’s license with reliable transportation
· Must be proficient in Microsoft suite of projects especially word and excel.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
