Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Experienced Towtruck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks and other commercial vehicles to assist stranded or disabled vehicles, transport equipment, and support fleet operations. Your expertise in driving various types of heavy-duty vehicles, combined with mechanical knowledge and excellent communication skills, will ensure smooth and efficient roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services. Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles with precision, adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles or equipment using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual methods.
- Provide roadside assistance by towing disabled vehicles, including heavy haul, tanker, or tractor-trailers, ensuring damage-free recovery.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to maintain optimal functionality and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders to coordinate vehicle recovery or transportation tasks.
- Assist in moving heavy equipment or freight within warehouses or job sites as needed.
- Maintain detailed logs of services performed, mileage driven, and parts used for each job.
- MUST HAVE A VALID CLEAN LICENSE, AND CLEAN BACKGROUND
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as tow trucks, box trucks, dump trucks, or bus driving.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and basic vehicle repairs to troubleshoot issues on the spot.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including forklifts and yard jockeys.
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using pallet jacks or manual handling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving preferred.
