Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control and R&D Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and efficacy of our products through meticulous quality control processes and innovative research and development activities. This position The QC Technician is responsible for conducting QC and making new color samples and work on R&D projects. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement, uphold laboratory excellence, and ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities

- Use standard project management techniques to drive existing products from a design and performance perspective. *
- Use standard colors and formulations to match production samples.*
- Perform routine chemical analyses and ensure precise documentation of results. *
- Contribute to the development and refinement of methodologies to improve lab efficiency. *
- Regularly evaluate the performance of existing products and adjust as necessary. *
- Conducting lab tests for qualitative and quantitative analyses of various substances and materials. *
- Interpret test results, compile technical reports, and provide accurate data documentation. *
- Evaluate raw and packaging material alternatives due to availability or cost issues. *
- Contribute to implementing new manufacturing processes for products on the manufacturing floor from a Process/Product Design perspective. *
- Responsible for developing new marketing strategies to help bring new products to market.
- Contribute to customer complaint analysis and provide feedback from a Product Design perspective. *
- Analyze raw/packaging materials and conversion costs and explore ways of cost-saving and decreasing complexity. *
- Ensure compliance with technical and safety product data sheets for both facilities and update them as necessary. *
- Follows applicable safety, health, and environmental rules and guidelines. Uses appropriate protective equipment.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Skills
- An associate's degree from a two-year accredited college in chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field is · required. A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in chemistry/chemical engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Prior internship or hands-on experience in a chemical or related laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques such as spectroscopy
- Proficiency with laboratory instruments, including balances, pipettes, and spectrophotometers.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Understanding of chemical safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Effective communication, teamwork abilities and follow directions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Flexibility in adapting to shifting priorities and eagerness to learn from experienced colleagues.
