JDM Motors Sacramento – Now Hiring: Part-Time Sales Associate (Automotive Industry)
JDM Motors Sacramento is seeking a dependable, motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Part-Time Sales Associate with strong automotive knowledge and solid computer skills. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, selling automotive parts, managing online inquiries, and supporting the daily sales operations of our growing business.
This is not a general entry-level position. Qualified applicants must meet the requirements listed below.
Position Details
- Part-time position (20+ hours per week)
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Additional hours may be available based on business needs.
- Hourly pay based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and through online inquiries.
- Recommend the correct engines, transmissions, and automotive parts based on customer needs.
- Create and manage online product listings, including photos, descriptions, and pricing.
- Respond promptly to customer messages on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and other online platforms.
- Process sales orders, invoices, and customer payments.
- Coordinate order pickups and shipping with warehouse staff and freight companies.
- Maintain accurate product information and inventory records.
- Help increase company sales through excellent customer service, follow-up, and online marketplace management.
- Identify opportunities to improve product listings, increase customer inquiries, and drive sales growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom and work area.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and inventory organization when needed.
Required Qualifications (Must Meet All Requirements)
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong computer proficiency (beyond basic skills), including experience with:
- Online marketplaces such as eBay and Facebook Marketplace
- Inventory and order management systems
- Data entry and product listing creation
- Working knowledge of automotive parts, especially engines and transmissions.
- Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Advantage)
- Experience selling automotive parts online.
- Experience in automotive parts sales or customer service.
- Hands-on experience with engines or transmission components.
- Knowledge of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles and parts.
- Spanish-speaking ability.
